DSF- Domaines Skiables de France is the association of French ropeway and ski-slope operators. A total of 412 companies are member of DSF: 238 ropeway and ski-slope operators and 175 manufacturers and suppliers. Most part of our members’ activity takes place in mountain resorts, though a section for urban, touristic and industrial members was created in 2018. France is the largest ski area in Europe. There are 250 alpine resorts in the country. Ski passes generate one and a half billion euros a year, 55 million skier days, 18.000 direct jobs and 120.000 indirect jobs (shops, accommodations, restaurants, ski schools, etc.). The French mountain resorts business is estimated to 10 billion euros a year, generated by 10 million tourists.
