Združenje slovenskih žičničarjev-GIZ (ZSŽ) represents Slovenian ski resorts and mountain centers. Slovenia offers a diverse range of ski areas, from small, authentic local resorts to larger destinations with year-round activities and well-developed infrastructure.

Ski resorts are known for their scenic locations, combining unspoiled nature with views of surrounding valleys and alpine peaks. Lower-lying areas feature forested slopes, while higher resorts, between 1,500 and 2,300 meters, offer more open terrain and wide panoramas. In favorable conditions, the ski season can extend into May.

Slovenian ski resorts are easy to reach, with short travel distances and good connections from Ljubljana and nearby regions. A single national ski pass gives access to multiple resorts across the country.
